Built on a remote desert site and spanning over 1,575 sqm, the venue hosted national leaders, stakeholders, and international media for a landmark moment in the UAE’s clean energy journey.
The project required high-spec technical delivery and absolute reliability, transforming a remote desert location into a premium, climate-controlled environment capable of supporting protocol, media, and broadcast requirements.
Objectives & Vision
Masdar required a secure, high-profile and premium temporary venue capable of hosting dignitaries and international media during a historic moment for the UAE’s energy sector. The brief called for a space that looked and performed like a permanent structure, combining architectural elegance with full operational functionality for formal proceedings, presentations, and guided site tours.
The venue needed to operate seamlessly in challenging desert conditions while meeting strict protocol, technical, and environmental requirements.
The Concept
DXB LIVE’s solution was a custom-built aluminium tent structure engineered to deliver stability, comfort, and a premium guest experience in an exposed desert environment.
The design prioritised clean architectural lines, controlled internal climate, and discreet integration of technical systems, ensuring the venue reflected the significance of the occasion while fully supporting broadcast, media, and ceremonial requirements.
From Plan to Reality
DXB LIVE managed the project end to end, transforming an undeveloped desert plot into a fully operational event venue. Scope of delivery included:
